Serena Williams is fit again, says Boris Becker

In an interview to Eurosport, the six-time Major winner Boris Becker commented on the women's drsw. He believes that Serena Williams will clearly be a dangerous threat when the play starts. The American could face the world No. 1 Simona Halep in the fourth round. 'Simona Halep and Angelique Kerber can almost get compared', Becker said. 'Halep has not the best serve and the forehand is not perfect either. She was injured for a long time and she did not play. That's why I see both of them at the same level. I would like (to see them in the final), but there are other rivals. Serena Williams is fit again. We cannot forget the defending champion Caroline Wozniacki. Garbine Muguruza plays well. I did not freely mention Maria Sharapova because she needs to show once again her old strengths at the Grand Slams. That's why she is not the favorite for me. You also have to put Karolina Pliskova and Julia Goerges in the mix.'

Kerber recently said he wants to achieve the Career Grand Slam by winning the French Open. Can she do it? 'Yes but it's still a dream for the future. It depends on her confidence. If she wins the Australian Open and she plays strong at the French Open, yes. That's why it depends on her.'
