'Denis Shapovalov showed his potential beating Nadal, del Potro' - Grosjean
In an interview to Sport Mag the former world No. 4 Sebastien Grosjean commented on the main players competing at this week's Montpellier Open. On the 19-year-old Canadian Denis Shapovalov, Grosjean said: "His offensive game is very efficient, including an amazing serve for a lefty. He is young with a big potential, like he showed through his big wins against Rafael Nadal and Juan (Martin) del Potro, just to mention someone. He is already part of the new stars in the world of tennis, it was very good for the Open South de France that he was there."
"Gilles Simon played very well at the beginning of the year and he won most of the titles by playing indoors. The Open Sud de France is a tournament he likes, even if he did not reach the final yet."
"Jo-Wilfried Tsonga started the year very well with a nice semifinal in Brisbane. His injuries are behind him and he can still get very good results. Already last year he impressed us before getting injured at the end of the semifinals."
"Tomas Berdych was very strong in Doha for his comeback to the competition, reaching the final. He is a player who competed at the highest level for a long time, especially on a fast surface and who already won the Open Sud de France in the past."
