Now Roger Federer believes he can win big titles again, says pundit

Sky Sport pundit Luca Boschetto is confident that Roger Federer will go all the way in Indian Wells. The Swiss player reached the quarter-finals and he will now face Hubert Hurkacz. The 37-year-old delivered some huge performances so far beating Peter Gojowczyk, Stan Wawrinka and Kyle Edmund all in straight sets. "Federer is playing great tennis, Dubai win may have excited him and made him have the belief of reaching the late stages, which was probably unthinkable on his mind after the loss to Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Australian Open. He easily beat Kyle Edmund, who is 14 years old younger than him, but what impressed the most about Federer is the easiness he played with and the attitude he had. In the first set he played so fast, he was coming to the net maybe too much because sometimes he made mistakes. He would like to win his sixth Indian Wells title and now that Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev lost, Rafael Nadal may be his top rival", said Boschetto.

On Hurkacz's run, Boschetto added: "No one expected him to go so far. He beat Denis Shapovalov, who is much more talented than him and he will have a better career, but he is a modern player, knows how to hit all the shots, he is tall, serves well, has a great forehand. It will be interesting to see Federer playing him because Hubert may cause him some problems."
