Don't blame Next Gen for not breaking Nadal, Federer dominance - Ferrer

David Ferrer believes that the younger players have a bright future despite they have not managed to break the Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic's dominance yet. In an interview, the former world No. 3, speaking of the Next Generation, said: "They are struggling more because there have been players who have been No. 1s for many years and that's good for tennis but you do not have to blame the younger guys. The sports evolve, players have longer careers. Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem have a good future, it's difficult to predict but there will be new players and in five years there will be players who now we do not even know."

Did he ever get tired of tennis? "In some moments yes because things do not go well, you want to disconnect or disappear. Each of us lives it his own. A lot of expectations were set on me already at 15 years ago, they said I would become world No. 1 and so you have extra pressure."
