Stefanos Tsitsipas: Estoril is ATP 250 event that everybody wants to win
Rising Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas has a high opinion about the Estoril Open as he says the Portuguese clay-court tournament is an ATP 250 event everyone wants to win.
Tsitsipas, ranked at No. 8 in the world, will be aiming to win his maiden Estoril title this week.
The 20-year-old debuted at the tournament last year when he made the semi-final before losing to eventual champion Joao Sousa.
Tsitsipas, seeded at No. 1 in the Estoril main draw, will start his campaign from the round-of-16 stage as he has a first-round bye at the tournament.
The Greek will play his Estoril opener against the winner of the match between Guido Andreozzi and Hugo Dellien.
However, Australian Open semi-finalist Tsitsipas won't have an easy job of winning the Estoril title this week as he will be joined by several other star players.
Monte Carlo Masters champion Fabio Fognini, fan favourite Gael Monfils, 2017 Nitto ATP Finals runner-up David Goffin, defending champion Joao Sousa and 2017 Estoril champion Pablo Carreno Busta will also be targeting to win it all on the clay of Estoril this week.
