Toni unsure about Federer-Nadal 2008 Wimbledon being the best match ever

In an interview to AS, Rafael Nadal's uncle Toni recalled his nephew's 2008 Wimbledon win over Roger Federer. The match lasted four hours and 46 minutes and the Spaniard prevailed 9-7 in the fifth set after losing two finals in a row at the All England Club against Federer. "It's difficult to pick what was the best match in tennis history. I remember a very good US Open match between Djokovic and Rafael and Federer against Djokovic and many other matches. In that occasion, a lot of circumstances made that match a special one. The first one is that it was similar to McEnroe-Borg one, he was the No. 2 who broke through over the No. 1. It was two different game concepts, which always attracts people. Also how the match developed, when Rafael seemed to have won it and then it turned complicated rain delays... You had all the things to make it a special match, and it was at Wimbledon, the tennis cathedral", said Toni.

"Wimbledon is always a special tournament. I liked it a lot. Rafa never took somebody to cook for him. At Wimbledon, many players rent a house next to the club which makes it much easier. Moving from one place to the other in London takes 45 minutes, and on some days it's rainy. If you have a problem, you stay at home and you feel more comfortable. Rafael used to cook, he likes cooking, he is the chef of the group. He cooked fish, pasta... Anything."
