David Goffin happy with his Estoril campaign despite semi-final loss

Belgian tennis star David Goffin was happy with his Estoril Open campaign despite losing to rising Greek star Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semi-final. 

Goffin, ranked at No. 25 in the world, won the opening set before the top-seeded Greek stormed back to claim a 3-6 6-4 6-4 win. 

The Belgian saved two break points in the fourth game before he broke the Greek in the fifth and ninth game to clinch the first set. 

Both players mightily struggled on their serve in the second set but in the end, it was Tsitsipas who managed to win the set and force a decider. 

The Greek converted 4-of-5 of his second set break point chances, while the Belgian realized 3-of-6 of his break point opportunities.

Tsitsipas got the first break of the third set in the ninth game before he successfully served out for the match in the following game to complete a comeback.

Goffin opened his clay-court campaign with back-to-back second-round showings at the Monte Carlo Masters and Barcelona respectively. 

The Belgian now certainly feels about his game as he is set to play at the Madrid Masters, where he will be meeting Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in the first round.
