Novak Djokovic can win more Majors than Roger Federer - Meligeni

In an interview to Olimpitacos, the former player Fernando Meligeni commented on Roger Federer's light tournaments schedule. The Swiss is set to be back on Tour next week in Madrid after a five-week break since winning the Miami Open. "The good side of Federer is that, since he does not play to be the world No. 1, can succeed if he goes out there and wins five tournaments, but I do not see he wants to lead the rankings, I see he wants to win Majors and Masters 1000s. He looks at the number of tournaments and not rankings. Djokovic has less charisma, he got even fewer results, he is less loved by both. I think he can win more Slams than Roger. He has a chance. Federer is fighting to win Slams, which is normal, Nadal has been dealing with injuries and he will keep winning one or the other Majors. He is the most complete guy, with a chance to play for more years, but he will have to win a lot, he will have to deal with the next generation, Alexander Zverev, who I think is the most promising guy", said Meligeni.

"Federer can do unique things. Nadal puts the fire, he is unbelievable. Djokovic has a mixture between the two."

Meanwhile, Mats Wilander commented on current tennis: "Although Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer have dominated the game for a number of years now, there is still an element of unpredictability about the men’s game. Whether it’s Djokovic struggling with his injuries only to return better than ever, or Nadal changing his style and looking like a new player, or Federer dipping in form only to get back to his best – there are still plenty of shocks in store as far as the big three players are concerned."
