Rafael Nadal was born on clay, not in hospital - Bollettieri

In an interview the tennis coach Nick Bollettieri praised Rafael Nadal's clay skills. The Spaniard has not started this part of the season on a high note reaching Monte Carlo and Barcelona semifinals, but he is considered to still stay a big favorite. "Many people were born in the hospital, but Rafa was born on clay. He is a fighter. I have to congratulate him for the way he plays and fights for everything. Of course everything depends on his physical shape", said Bollettieri.

On his great job in tennis, the American added: "The biggest legacy may be the impact on the people's lives. Cars, trophies and money come and go. But if you can make a difference in someone's life, that's worth for the generations. On my new book I tell about people who changed their lives by hitting the gym. That makes anybody a winner. It's not about your bank account, but if that influences on people that's what makes you a winner. God gave me a chance to teach people. You have to get to know the person, his past and his family's, his girlfriend, wife and coach. The more informations you get, the more chances you will have with them. Listen at them. Andre Agassi made me a better listener. If you listen better, you may get better answers."

How can players face the fear on court? "The biggest punishment is the loss. I tell some of my players: let's go to the hospitals where children deal with cancer, if they feel losers. If you lose, you will get another chance. If those kids lose, they will not have it."
