Rudolf Molleker calls Alexander Bublik a 'disrespectful player'

Rising German star Rudolf Molleker has blasted fellow rising star Alexander Bublik following their French Open first round clash, calling the Kazakh a "disrespectful player."

Bublik, ranked at No. 91 in the world, is well known for his antics on the court as he tried an underarm serve while serving for the match against the German on Monday.

Molleker, who claimed he wasn't at his best due to a fever, suffered a first round exit as the Kazakh won in four sets 7-5 6-7 (4) 6-1 7-6 (2) to progress to the second round, where he will meet No. 4 seed Dominic Thiem.

"He is a disrespectful player in my eyes and not the most pleasant guy on the tour," Molleker told the German journalists post-match, per Tennis TourTalk. "It's also hard for me to play against him, as he doesn't give you any rhythm. However, if I had been fit today, the match could have gone in a different way."

World No. 173 Molleker took some positives from his Roland Garros campaign as he beat Tomy Robredo, Matthias Bachinger and Santiago Giraldo to make it past the qualifying event and make his main draw.

"I played some decent matches in the qualification. I am disappointed that I wasn't able to be at 100 percent today but I just kept fighting," Molleker added.
