Rafael Nadal will win French Open, says Henin

In an interview, the former world No. 1 Justine Henin gave her French Open predictions. The Belgian said: "On the men's side I can see Rafael Nadal. On the women's it's difficult to bet on a player, there is not a big favourite, it's very open. If you ask me to pick three players, then I tell you Petra Kvitova, Kiki Bertens and Simona Halep. I hope all the good players will be there. The one who will win is the one who has the strongest mentality."

“The men are playing amazing tennis. Roger as well after his comeback since not having played since 2015. He seemed to enjoy himself a lot. Nadal was Nadal. He doesn’t seem to age when he’s on the court here in Paris. He moves so well and is so aggressive. Novak was equally impressive. It’s very interesting to see how the draw unfolds and who will be able to surprise us."

In an interview to The Telegraph, Henin said: "There are not many players who really use the surface nowadays. The clay season is short, and hard courts have got slower in the last few years so the surfaces came closer in speed. As a result, a lot of the girls play the same way on every surface. I was really trying to use the clay - sliding a lot, using the different trajectories, variations and everything. Halep does it very well, but we don’t see many players with that kind of game now."
