Andy Murray and Marcelo Melo to play top seeds in Eastbourne opener

Great Britain's Andy Murray once against hasn't had luck with his doubles draw as he and Marcelo Melo will be meeting No. 1 seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in their Eastbourne opener. 

Murray, 32, made his return to competitive action by playing doubles at the Queen's Club this week.

Murray and partner Feliciano Lopez were drawn to meet top seeds Cabal and Farah in their opener but managed to pull off a surprise win against the Colombian duo. 

A week later, Murray will once again be clashing off against the 2018 Australian Open runners-up -- who will be motivated to make amends for the early Queen's exit.

On the other side, Murray and 35-year-old Melo will be hoping to make a good result in their team debut at the ATP level.

Murray and Melo may not have many matches together under their belt but both have proven capable of playing high-level tennis on grass.

Murray is a three-time Wimbledon champion in singles, while Melo won the 2017 Wimbledon doubles title with Lukasz Kubot.

It remains to be seen can Murray and Melo knock out the Eastbourne top seeds.
