John Isner’s future baby receives early birthday gift from Sam Querrey
In an Outside the Ball interview, Newport champion John Isner expressed his feelings toward becoming a dad for the second time in his life and confessed that his fellow hard-hitter Sam Querrey already handed him a gift for the upcoming family member.
Recently crowned at the Hall of Fame Open, Isner was asked how he feels as his second child is on his way out into the world: “Right now, I am not nervous, but when it comes time for Maddie to deliver a baby I'm sure I am going to be very very nervous, but ... we are ready.”
Being alongside Querrey during the interview, John didn’t miss the opportunity to mention the gift that Sam and his wife Abby offered to the Isner family: “Just received a cute baby gift from Sam and Abby as well. It's a cute little outfit, a top and a little skirt for a zero, two, six month old.”
The funny fact was that Querrey was asked to name the color of the outfit, but he struggled to remember it although he was the one who bought it: “It's... argh ...it's ... like a light pink, right?”
Sam was right only until he found out from Isner that the color of the clothes was grey.
The 2.08 meters tall American thought about what he will say to his new child when it arrives in the outside world: “I love you very much.”
The first baby of John Isner and his wife Madison - Hunter Grace Isner -, was born in September 2018.
