Taylor Fritz reacts to finishing runner-up at Atlanta Open

Rising American star Taylor Fritz admits it hurts to lose the Atlanta final but he insists he remains confident going forward.
Fritz, seeded at No. 2, fell just short of winning it all in front of his home fans as he was beaten by third-seeded Alex de Minaur 6-3 7-6 (2).
"It was a good week,” Fritz said post-match, per The Grandstand. “It was my first time ever being one of the top seeds and I made the final. I played well, especially in the second set. He played really well. It hurts so much to lose the final, but it’s just more fuel to the fire. I’m still confident."
Fritz, 21, beat Kevin King, Miomir Kecmanovic and Cameron Norrie en route to making the Atlanta final.
Fritz and de Minaur were tied at 3-3 after the opening six games before the Australian claimed back-to-back breaks to win the opener.
As no breaks were seen in the second set -- the set went into a tie-break -- which de Minaur dominated to win his second ATP title.
