Here is where Serena Williams will start 2020 season

Serena Williams often said that she wants to play as long as possible and break Margaret Court's 24 Grand Slam titles record. The American player is not planning her retirement from the professional tour anytime soon and on Tuesday it was revealed where and when she will start her 2020 season.
Serena will play the ASB Classic in Auckland that takes place from January 6 to 12 prior to the Australian Open. Serena has never won in Auckland, she made her first appearance there in 2017 losing to Madison Brengle in the second round. "Oh man, I want to win that title so bad," said Williams. "Last time I was there I had so much going on and although I fought through to win my first match, I know I didn't play to my level. I have such amazing memories that are really special to me from Auckland. I would really like to add some on court memories to that list."
The Tournament Director Karl Budge can't wait to see the American playing in New Zealand. "We are thrilled to get Serena back", admitted Budge. "We know she has some unfinished business here and we have desperately wanted to show the New Zealand public just what the greatest player of all time can do here. Serena is chasing history and Auckland will play a key role in helping her achieve it. I can't wait to see her back out on court."
This year Williams opened her 2019 season in the Hopman Cup, Perth, that disappeared from the calendar.
