I would have liked to attend Federer v Nadal Wimbledon final - Schwartzman
What match would Diego Schwartzman have liked to attend? The Argentinean player answered this question in an interview. "The Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in 2008. It was one of the best. I read Rafa's book about this match. I would have liked to be in the stadium for that match."
Asked about the best places he has ever visited, Schwartzman replied: "It was a great experience to discover big cities and the most important capitals over the world: Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid and London. It's one of the best things as a tennis player and sometimes it's the toughest one."
The things they do is unbelievable. I am grateful for seeing them from inside. It is very useful. Against Federer, in 2014 French Open, I had some regrets because I think I could have won a set. The worst was against Djokovic, I could not take a breath from any side."
On the Davis Cup, Schwartzman added: "When you start playing tennis, you imagine to be in a packed Stadium representing Argentina. Being inside the team was incredible."
"Hopefully I had the half career that David Ferrer had. He is a player who I admired for my entire career. He had an impressive career."
On the Big Three, he concluded: "They are the best in history. I will be able to tell I played against them and that I played tennis in the same era as them."
