I see Rafael Nadal catching Roger Federer's Majors, says Toni

Toni Nadal spoke about his nephew Rafael's chances to break Roger Federer's 20 Grand Slam titles record. The 58-year-old said: "I see him catching Federer up. I would pick my nephew if you ask me who ends the career holding most Majors. I understand he is 33 years old but sometimes I think Federer is older too."

Toni also said players are human: "Outside the world of tennis anyone has the solution for the problems, but when you work on a daily basis with someone you know that one thing is to say, another is to do. Even if it seems that players are professionals and very good, they are not Gods, they are not able to do everything, they also have issues."

"I think that in life all the credit must be given to Rafael, but I think I helped him a bit to mark a way. If you set goals with a very talented kid, your job is important. I think as long as he keeps being excited, he will still compete. Rafael has positive vibes although you end up being tired if you have injuries. But he was always able to deal with issues, which is a very good quality."

The Croat has been coaching the Serb for some months now and he believes that the Australian should behave better. “It’s bad because I don’t think Novak did anything wrong to him. He speaks a lot about Novak, only he knows the reason. But he should just take care of himself because he should be in the top five, he could win a grand slam. He’s never going to win a grand slam with the approach he has now. If he could change it that would be great for him and for tennis.”
