Ashleigh Barty Looking to Invest in Property in East Coast

Tennis - French Open champion and World No. 1 Ashleigh Barty has had an incredible season in 2019 - winning nearly $16 million in prize money. And the Australian is looking to buy a new home for herself.

According to News.com, Barty and her team have been looking at several properties along the East Coast - including a beachfront pad in Kingscliff that is currently on the market for nearly $7 million. THe property is situated at 44-48 North Point Ave, Kingscliff.

Local agents have confirmed that Barty's team have been in negotiations to purchase the property which "spans three beachfront blocks over nearly 2000 sqm and features a full-sized, floodlit tennis court, an 18m pool, gym, state-of-the-art security system and large garage for storing training equipment."

The house, which has five bedrooms, has been designed by award-winning architect Paul Uhlmann.

Marketing agent Nick Witheriff of LJ Hooker commented, "It’s anyone’s for the taking at this stage — we’re still unsure of who will take home the title. It is the only property available with a tennis court on the beachfront between the Gold Coast and Byron Bay, and Ash is from Ipswich. It’s got world class facilities, which would give any professional athlete the opportunity to set up a training base.”

The report states another property in Brisbane could be of interest to the Australian. The property in Brisbane is an exclusive estate in Kalinga with a floodlit, Wimbledon-sized tennis court and spectators' rotunda which is scheduled for auction later this month.

The property comes with a pool, spa, gym, private bar, wine cellar and home theatre.
