Jean-Julien Rojer e Horia Tecau react to beating year-end No. 1 duo

Dutch Jean-Julien Rojer was satisfied with his he and partner Horia Tecau played in the key moments of their second match at the Nitto ATP Finals.

Rojer and Tecau entered Wednesday desperate to get a win in Group Max Mirnyi after losing their opener at the tournament two days earlier. 

Rojer and Tecau managed to avoid back-to-back losses and keep their semifinal hopes alive after a win over Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah 6-2 5-7 10-8. 

“I’m happy with our form,” Rojer said, per the Nitto ATP Finals website. “We lost the first match and knew we’d need to bounce back against a very good team this year. We played a very good first set, prior to them making adjustments in the second set. We played a really good tie-break, how we stuck in together and found solutions."

Rojer and Tecau, the 2015 ATP Finals champions, knew they would have to bring their best game in order to stand a chance against the year-end No. 1 team from Colombia. 

"We both like to change things around if it doesn’t work and that makes a high level of tennis when we meet the Colombians,” Tecau said. “It comes down to a few points."
