Marinko Matosevic now works as head coach at tennis academy in Bali

Former Australian tennis star Marinko Matosevic is now reportedly working as the head coach at a tennis academy in Bali, which is owned by a Russian millionaire who has set high goals for the academy. 

After losing in the Indian Wells Challenger qualifying final round in February 2018, the Australian decided to stop playing professional tennis but didn't officially announce it until the late November of that year. 

"He (Matosevic) is the head coach at a tennis academy in Bali," Tennis Victoria Senior Coaching Leader Paul Aitken told The First Serve. "I think there's been some serious money put into this academy, a Russian millionaire has opened this academy and there's been quite a few good players at that academy!"

Matosevic, 34, never won an ATP title but captured four titles on the Challenger Tour and five on the Futures tour respectively. 

Matosevic, who achieved a career-high ranking of No. 39 in the world in 2013 and also represented his country in the Davis Cup on several occasions, was at some point of the 2013 season the highest ranked Australian player.
