Serena Williams reveals her favourite tennis career style moments
Serena Williams opened the year by playing two finals in the Auckland International. In singles, after three years of pause, she won the 73rd WTA title easily beating Jessica Pegula in two set, while paired with her friend Caroline Wozniacki she was stopped by her compatriots Townsend/Muhammad in the final act. At the Australian Open 2020, she was surprised by Chinese Wang Qiang, who defeated her for 4-6 7-62 5-7 in the third round.
During New York Fashion Week, the 23-time Grand Slam champion revealed her favourite tennis career style moments: "So I thought about that and I was thinking, immediately, the jean skirt that I wore in 2002 with the high boots," said the sports star about her favorite looks.
"Then I was like, that's a lie. My favorite things in life are tutus. The tutu look with Virgil. I kept all those dresses. I am trying things out. Sometimes they're a miss," Serena joked. "I think it's so fun to have fun with fashion and in my sport, I have a great opportunity to play in something really wild and really fun and really express myself."
Williams has won a record of 13 Grand Slam singles titles on hard court. Williams holds the Open Era record for most titles won at the Australian Open (7) and shares the Open Era record for most titles won at the US Open with Chris Evert (6). She also holds the record for the most women's singles matches won at majors with 351 matches.
