Bruno Soares calls for patience in the difficult times of Coronavirus
Brazilian doubles star Bruno Soares has called for patience amidst the coronavirus drama as he says the players need to stay strong in this difficult time and try to find the right solution.
On Sunday, the Indian Wells Masters got cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak and the extreme decision to call off the whole event came as a surprise to both the players and fans.
"At these time, you have to be a little patient and understand that this is an extreme case. We have to try to have a Plan B and hope the situation gets under control and that we can play. It is a very difficult and very uncertain moment for professional players," Soares said, per Aliny Calejon.
Following the sudden cancellation of the Indian Wells Masters, many feared the same extreme measures could be taken at some of the upcoming ATP events.
But the Miami Masters organizers didn't wait for too long to release a statement as they confirmed they plan to proceed with the event -- which starts on March 23 -- but underlined that they are closely following the coronavirus situation.
