Viktor Troicki speaks highly of Novak Djokovic's Adria Tour

Serbian tennis player Viktor Troicki is delighted to be a part of the Adria Tour player field as he is looking forward to competing in front of his home fans in Belgrade next month.

Upon returning to Serbia after two months of quarantine in Marbella, world No. 1 Novak Djokovic announced his plans to host the Adria Tour.

The Adria Tour is set to take place across four Balkan countries -- Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro -- the Tour would run from June 13 - July 5.

The Adria Tour will feature some of the biggest stars of the game as world No. 3 Dominic Thiem, seventh-ranked Alexander Zverev and 2017 Nitto ATP Finals champion Grigor Dimitrov have confirmed their participation.

Two best-ranked Croatian players Marin Cilic and Borna Coric are also expected to make their appearance on the Adria Tour when it comes to Zadar.

"I'm extremely happy to be a part of this tennis spectacle -- which the Adria Tour certainly is. Indeed, this will be the light at the end of the tunnel as the world is fighting against the coronavirus pandemic. It's an honor and satisfaction to find my name among those players and compete against them -- especially in my hometown. I haven't played in Belgrade since our 2017 Davis Cup tie against Spain," Troicki said, per Sportska Centrala.

Viktor Troicki excited about facing extremely tough competition

The last few years haven't been easy for world No. 12 Viktor Troicki as he has been struggling to stay healthy and that heavily impacted his form.

Troicki, now ranked at No. 184, doesn't want just to participate as he wants to leave it all on the court against tennis stars.

"Those are all great players and tricky opponents. They all have a unique style of play and competing against them won't be easy. At the end of the day, it's not a coincidence that they are who they are -- the top echelon of the game," Troicki said.

Viktor Troicki also added that he will leave it all on the court against whoever he faces and added that he will approach the Adria Tour the same way he approaches ATP events.
