World No. 537 Marco Bartolotti praises Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal

Italian tennis player Marco Bartolotti has praised world No. 1 Novak Djokovic and 19-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal.

Bartolotti, ranked at No. 537 in the world, says the two top-ranked players in the world are great leaders and always willing to help other players.

"I always appreciate the proposals of Djokovic and Nadal, they are very close to all of us and always show great availability," Bartolotti said, per LiveTennis.

The ATP suspended the Tour on March 12 and there won't be any tennis events taking place until at least July 13.

Ever since the Tour got suspended, players have been urging the governing bodies to help lower-ranked players during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

Djokovic, the President of the ATP Player Council, stepped up and proposed a plan of how to help lower-ranked players during these difficult times.

The Serb proposed that top-100 players each donate from 5,000-30,000 to support player relief fund.

The money gathered would be distributed to those players most affected by the Tour suspension.

Bartolotti, a former world No. 355, would be one of the players who would benefit from Djokovic's initiative.

The 29-year-old Italian has earned only $141,499 in his career.
