Nick Kyrgios hits back Borna Coric: Your intellectual level is zero

Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios had fired back at Borna Coric as he has insulted the Croatian by saying his intellectual level is "zero."

After several players tested positive for the coronavirus, Kyrgios wished everyone a speedy recovery and added that proceeding with the event was a "boneheaded" decision. 

Speaking to Croatian newspaper Jurarnji a few days ago, Coric said he didn't care at all about Kyrgios' comments. 

"I read what he wrote, but I simply don't care since he likes to be a 'general after a battle'," Coric told the Jutarnji List newspaper Monday when asked to comment Kyrgios' criticism.

"If someone else was teaching lessons I would have maybe understood, but Kyrgios ... It's somehow not realistic.

"But ok, it's his style, that's how he functions, I have no problem with that neither does it bother me on personal level."

Kyrgios read Coric's comments and he didn't hold back as he said in a Twitter post: "You should care. Do you have rocks in your head? Again, you can stand up for your mates, I’m just trying to hold them accountable. When I said what I said, I didn’t intend to bother. They are tennis players, they aren’t special. Just as I thought Coric intellectual level = 0.

"Just making sure that you spuds didn’t cause more players to feel like Dimitrov. Have you read how he continued to feel after he tested negative? Or that’s too much for that brain of yours to process?"

Coric also he would never do such a thing as Kyrgios did 

Kyrgios publicly critiziced Alexander Zverev after the German was spotted partying in Monaco when he was supposed be in self quarantine.

"So I wake up and I see more controversial things happening all over the world, but one that stuck out for me was seeing Zverev again man, again, again, how selfish can you be? How selfish can you be?" Kyrgios said in late-June.

"I mean, if you have the audacity to put out a f***ing tweet that you made your management write on your behalf saying you are going to self isolate for 14 days and apologising to f***ing general public for putting their health at risk, at least have the audacity to stay inside for 14 days. My god. 

"Have your girlfriend with you for f***ing 14 days. Jesus, man. It pisses me off. This tennis world pisses me off. How selfish can you all get?" 

Reflecting on those comments, Coric said: "Zverev acted badly, but I don't see the need to call out fellow players in that way. I wouldn't do that, but again -- that's Kyrgios."
