Sam Stosur talks on decision to go public about her relationship ebeing a mother
Former US Open champion Sam Stosur opened up about her decision to go public about her relationship with partner Liz Astling and about becoming a mother in an interview to Todd Woodbridge. Stosur recently announced that Astling gave birth to a baby girl last month.
Stosur also said that she will skip the rest of the season on the tour and will be back in 2021.
On being a mother, Stosur said, "[It will] probably help relax me a little bit more as well because there is something bigger and essentially more important than that one tennis match that you've just played."
Sam Stosur is a former world No. 1 in doubles and a former world No. 4 in singles, winning 9 singles titles, 26 doubles titles and 3 mixed doubles titles and earning over $19 million in prize money.
