First positive swab in the New York Bubble!

First positive swab in the New York Bubble! But he/she isn't a player: an accompanying person was found to be postive to the tampon when entering the bubble. So at the end a positive swab to Covid-19 was found. In the bubble, which will also benefit the Western & Southern Open before the US Open, it did happen what many were already expecting to happen.
USTA communicated the positivity to Covid-19 of this person, not a player but belonging to first level (we talked about the levels of the bubbles in this article). The bubble is organized on different levels of security and number 1 is the one in which they fall, the same also for tennis players and their staff.
First positive swab in the New York Bubble: the USTA statementIn accordance with the provisions of the New York State Department of Health, the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Toeneo Health and Safety Protocols, the statement reads, the person, who is asymptomatic, must remain in isolation for at least ten days. Now it has begun the reconstruction of contacts to determine if anyone should remain in quarantine for fourteen days.
The USTA concludes by assuring that this is the only positive case out of 1,400 tests performed on those who enter the first level since August 13th, the day the tests start. However, it is not specified whether the positivity was detected upon arrival or subsequently.
In the last few days Kei Nishikori, who had to play bot the Western and Souther Open and the US Open, was tested positive. Olso in the Todi Challenger there were positive swabs. The tests and the various protocols serve precisely to avoid or, at least, to reduce as much as possible the risks of contagion within the bubbles, because it is highly probable, figures in hand, that player, coach, staff member and the others will show up at the gates of a tournament with the global pandemic.
Regarding health protocols, Dr. Bernard Camins said: "The cornerstone of this program is the tiered system designed to divide groups of individuals in such a way as to minimize the chances of contagion. Furthermore, the frequency of tests will allow USTA to isolate infected people who will be kept to a minimum by the policy of social distancing and universal use of masks at all times while in the public areas of the bubble."
