Here is what the Bryan Brothers said about their plans to play in the US Open e 2021

The top-ranked Bryan brothers have said that if they plan to continue playing in 2021, then they will also play the US Open in New York next month.

Speaking at the World TeamTennis event which they are playing this week, Bob Bryan said they are still not sure if they will continue playing on the tour when the circuit resumes but added that if they want to play in 2021, they would also play the US Open next month. “We don’t know how much tennis we have left in us. We said we were going to decide what we’re going to do for the rest of the summer. We’re having a blast playing tennis. Maybe for the last time. No place better than the Greenbrier (valley) for World Team Tennis. I don’t think even we know yet [if this was the final event]. Tennis has been our whole life… I have a great home life… I love spending time with my family. I know Mike has also started to feel that. We gotta weigh the travel and how much time we have to spend away from them,. Tennis has been our life… We love this life. We had a great run if this is over. We’re gonna sit down and if we decide to come back and play in 2021, then you’ll probably see us play the Open just to keep it going. If we decide to shut it down in 2021, this might be it. So who knows."

Mike Bryan also echoed similar comments, saying that the duo still need to discuss what their future plans would look like. "We loved this (the WTT) season, it was a blast for us to get back out here. We’re gonna discuss if we want to keep going. I thought we felt pretty young… We got some good stuff left, who knows if we’re gonna keep doing it. But um, it’s been a fun ride."

The Bryan Brothers are the most successful doubles team in men's tennis history. They have won multiple Olympic medals, including the gold in 2012 and have won more professional games, matches, tournaments and Grand Slams than any other men's pairing. They held the World No. 1 doubles ranking jointly for 438 weeks which is longer than anyone else in doubles history. They have finished as the ATP year-end number 1 doubles team a record 10 times.
