ATP Rome 2021 day 2 HIGHLIGHTS: Nishikori and Sinner won
AT the Italian Open 2021, in Rome, Jannik Sinner gave himself a second round against Rafael Nadal. The Italian talented player defeated Ugo Humbert 6-2 6-4.
Kei Nishikori defeated Fabio Fognini 6-3 6-4. The Japanese played a game of quantity and quality. Fognini, fluctuating and foul, does not find valid alternatives from the baseline and leaves the service on the road even at the start of the second.

In the other matches, Petra Kvitova, after twenty minutes decidedly complicated, raises the level of play with the response and above all with the service and wins 1-6 6-0 6-2 after just under two hours of play. Alison Riske eliminated against Iga Swiatek, ever closer to finding the clay courts of Bois de Boulogne.
The two shake hands at the foot of the tie break: the winner of the American derby between Sloane Stephens and Madison Keys awaits the Pole in the second round. Petra Martic needs the third set to break Shelby Rogers' resistance, Amanda Anisimova also returns to success.
