Roland Garros: the best matches of all time

The Roland Garros 2021, unlike what happened last year with the autumn edition, will be held at the end of May and at the beginning of the day, for a Parisian fortnight of incredible emotions. The Roland Garros was famous also for its amazing matches, like the one between René Lacoste and Bill Tilden in 1927. He beat the American after five unforgettable sets, winning his second title in Paris, in an era dominated by French players.

The edition after the Second World War was won by Margaret Osborne against her countrywoman Pauline Betz, at the end of an exciting challenge, with the final score of 1-6, 8-6, 7-5. The epilogue of 1962 Between Rod Laver and Roy Emerson saw Laver's triumph over his countryman for 3-6, 2-6, 6-3, 9-7, 6-2, after a very beautiful match.
