Luka Doncic: I like being star at Games but I'm not as popular as Novak Djokovic

Slovenian basketball star Luka Doncic is one of the most popular athletes at the Tokyo Olympics and he is being asked for selfies by other athletes but he admits the athlete with the most selfies is world No. 1 Novak Djokovic.

Doncic, who plays for the Dallas Mavericks, is one of the biggest stars in the NBA and this past season he was in contention for the MVP award.

"I like being a star of the Games; I feel good to be one of the stars if I am. I’m taking a lot of photos, yes, there could be more, although the one with the most photos is Djokovic," Doncic said, per The Sport Rush.

Djokovic, a record 20-time Grand Slam champion, is enjoying a big popularity at the Tokyo Olympics.

"Lots of photos and nice words, it feels me with positive energy. I am enjoying every single moment here at the Olympics. Lots of photos and nice words, it feels me with positive energy. On Monday, Djokovic handed a 6-4 6-3 loss to Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff to progress into the Tokyo round-of-16.

"It took me some time to adjust to the speed of his serve. The break at the end of the 1st set was the key. I started to read his serve better in the second. Tough win," Djokovic said of his win over Struff.

Djokovic plays next against rising Spanish star Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.

"He used to be a clay specialist, but he has improved on hardcourts in the last year and a half. We practice with each other in Spain, we get along nicely, he is a great guy. I know what to expect," Djokovic said of Davidovich Fokina.

Djokovic is aiming to win his maiden gold medal.
