Novak Djokovic's comeback is not a big surprise, says Rafael Nadal

In an interview to Gulf News, Rafael Nadal explained what motivates him to keep playing at the highest level. The Spanish player said: 'I love the competition and love to play at the most important tournaments of the world. That keeps me going. I believe the will to compete and play is what moves everything else around me.'

Nadal will play his first match of the new season against Kevin Anderson or Hyeon Chung on Friday at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship. He is excited to play in an event he loves: 'It (Mubadala) has always been an important tournament for me since it is the best way to prepare the start of the season in Australia. I hope so and that’s what I am working hard for. Things so far are going well.'

Nadal finally commented on the Novak Djokovic's comeback to the highest level? 'He (Djoko) had an amazing second half of the season, in particular from Wimbledon onwards. Not a big surprise for me but maybe some people might think differently.'
