Roger Federer could just be tired of the challenges, says Andre Agassi

In an interview to Eurosport, the eight-time Major winner Andre Agassi commented on Roger Federer's future. The 20-time Grand Slam champion suffered a lot of surprising losses, against John Millman at the US Open and Kevin Anderson at Wimbledon. 'There are many things. There is balance in life, priorities, or he could just be tired of the challenges, the organization and travelling and all the things that get into. For me it was physical, my body told me, "It's over". And it ended. Federer will decide on his own terms,' said Agassi.

Commenting on the differences in tennis between the time in which he was playing and now, Agassi added: 'There is a difference in the spin of the game. Through most of my career when you hit the ball strong, you took a risk. Now it's like the stronger you hit, the more control you get. And I think you can be able to play in the angles. Now guys are smarter, bigger and faster. Like in any other sport.'

Asked about shot clock and other new rules, Agassi said: 'I definitely like the way tennis is. I think every change goes through a severe consideration. Changing things that influence the men, their bodies, changes the game. You can get lucky and win at the best of three sets, but you can't get lucky when you win at the best of five. And when you talk about the Grand Slams, there is only credit,' he concluded.
