Roger Federer had stunning performance against Stan Wawrinka - Expert

The former world No. 12 Paolo Bertolucci praised Roger Federer's straight-set win over Stan Wawrinka in Indian Wells. The world No. 4 defeated his compatriot 6-3 6-4. Bertolucci loved it: "It was a stunning performance in terms of talent, he closed in 59 minutes!", he said on Sky Sport.

On Rafael Nadal defeating Diego Schwartzman, Bertolucci added: "Schwartzman is a good player but he is so light that Nadal can beat him in a very comfortable way. Rafa played well but I would like to see him facing a player who can make him in troubles. For Rafa, it's about being healthy. Who do I see between Roger and Rafa having higher chances? On how players could use Novak Djokovic's loss to go far in the draw, Bertolucci concluded: "Once a world No. 1 leaves, everything changes. Many other big players lost. Thiem is there but he is not a hard court specialist. Raonic is, but in recent times he did not deliver very good performances so in the top half so everything can happen. In the bottom half, Nadal and Federer are set to face each other in the semifinals but we will see because some younger players can deliver great tennis on any given day."

On Denis Shapovalov beating Marin Cilic and then rapping, Bertolucci concluded: "That did not surprise me because Shapovalov has amazing skills. It's so nice to see him playing and singing too!
