Serena Williams: 'Roger Federer and I won't play in three years'
Serena Williams believes that she and Roger Federer can still fight for the biggest titles despite both will turn 38 in the next months. After her Wimbledon final loss to Simona Halep, the American said: "No matter which way you look at it, we're not going to be out here in the next three, four, five years. The time is now to get out there and to watch us play, I guess."
Williams feels confident about the future: "I don't know. I think it's definitely different. I feel like I'm still incredibly competitive or else I wouldn't really be out here, per se. For the most part, I feel like I'm on the right track. I'm just going in the right direction in terms of getting back to where I need to be."
Halep was feeling confident heading into the match: "I always say that I have my chance. When I believe that, when I start to believe that when I hear my voice saying that I have a chance, then I go for it without thinking about the negative. I do that also in normal life. When I really believe something, I repeat: I'm able to do. Today I did the same thing the whole match. I didn't think about the score. I just said, Here is my chance and I have to take it."
