Bautista Agut shares emotion in sharing locker room with Federer, Nadal
In an interview to Castellon Plaza, Roberto Bautista Agut commented on his feelings when he reached the semifinals in such a big and elegant tournament like Wimbledon. Bautista Agut was very close to the 'Big Three'. "It was very nice. Wimbledon is one of the tournaments where seeded players have a room and the unseeded have another. In the first days the locker room was very little and it was full of people. But on the semifinals day, it was four people. On a side, there was Rafael Nadal; on other Novak Djokovic and then Roger Federer. It was a very nice experience that hopefully can be repeated", said BautistaAgut.
On his four-set loss to Djokovic, the 29-year-old added: "This year Lucas Pouille played the Australian Open semifinals against Novak and he was dominated. I think I played a good match and in the third set, I could have deserved more than what the result said. So the week was very positive and the match against Novak too."
Asked if the upcoming North American hard-court swing is one of the most important ones in his career, Bautista Agut replied: "At the end of the day all the swings are important for us. The year is very long and we have to be very consistent. Any tournament I play is very important."
Bautista Agut is a fan of horses, but he said he would like to spend more time with them: "I love being with them. They give a lot of work but luckily my father helps me with them. I like going with them to the mountain. I like being with them instead of any other thing."
