Gael Monfils denies his love story with Elina Svitolina has ended
Gael Monfils denied that his romantic relationship with Elina Svitolina has ended. Their Instagram account was apparently cancelled some weeks ago but Monfils clarified the matter during Wimbledon. “It’s not that we’re back together, we just had some time for ourselves, you know. I think we needed a little space. It’s cool to share with the fans but the last two-three weeks we were out of ideas. But the thing is after everyone said we break up so we were like ‘Ok Ok let’s put it back! And then we have fun.’ We have more ideas! So much love that we got when we reopened the account. It was amazing! So many nice messages! We felt the love", said Monfils.
Meanwhile, Diego Schwartzman commented on how it felt to face Roger Federer for the first time: "Facing a player on the court who has so much history and who is the greatest ever makes you a bit nervous. He has also wished me a good season and he told me that I played a good match. Listening to your opponents and especially Federer saying such things is great. I was so happy."
On the South American tennis, he added: "After Massu and Gonzalez, for Chile it's tough. As for Argentina, there is not too much to speak of, they always have several players between the top 30 and top 50. It's more normal that you struggle to have players than having many, even more in countries where there is not s big support from big Federations that invest millions and million of dollars in making younger guys come up. I see Nicolas Jarry and Christian Garin, they are very good players, they have a lot to give and a lot to improve. They are different game styles, Jarry's game is more about the service, he may lack some consistency but he has a lot of weapons and in any given moment he can beat anyone."
