Laslo Djere: I need to improve my hard-court game
Serbian tennis star Laslo Djere admits he isn't satisfied with the way he performs on hard as he is eager to improve his game on that particular surface.
Djere, ranked at No. 37 in the world, has had a disappointing US summer hard-court campaign so far, having lost his openers at the Masters 1000 events in Montreal and Cincinnati.
Djere suffered a straight-set defeat to Cristian Garin in Montreal a week ago, before falling in two sets against to Diego Schwartzman in Cincinnati this past Tuesday.
Schwartzman, who also prefers clay over hard, claimed a 7-6 (2) 6-3 win over Djere.
Djere has been performing well on clay this year as he won his maiden ATP title in Rio de Janeiro and reached semifinal at three different clay-court events.
"I'm not satisfied with this match as well. I think I still have a lot of improvement to make on hard and to learn how to play on this surface. It will require lots of effort in order to get better," Djere exclusively told Sport Klub after losing to Schwartzman.
