Roger Federer, Djokovic,Nadal records will not be broken in even 100 years'
Tommy Haas spoke about Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic trying to hold the Grand Slam titles record. The German former player said: "They want to retire saying, I am the guy who won most Grand Slams. Roger is almost 38 years old and if he still plays, that's probably because of that. If Federer still feels well, he can play for two more years. Who would have thought during his injury that he would have won two consecutive Australian Opens? No one."
Who will hold the Grand Slam titles record? Fabrice Santoro replied: "I do no longer want to ask this question because it happens too quickly. It will be asked when those three players will have retired. Anything can happen. We have been really lucky to see them at the highest level for 15 years. We live in a special era and I am very proud to have faced all of the three."
Max Mirnyi concluded: "They did so much for tennis that it will be difficult for the following players. That's what pushes them to be at the top in every Grand Slam. It's beyond our imagination. When I was playing, Becker Edberg and others had six, seven or eight titles and when Pete Sampras won his 14th, you thought it was the ultimate achievement. We will not see something like this again in 100 years."
About Serena Williams, Schett added: "She is the best of all time. I have no doubts: she became a mother, she came back, she is still there. For the younger players, that's not a good sign."
