I never met Roger Federer. I'd rather get adviced by Rafael Nadal - Badosa

Paula Badosa is one of the most promising Spanish players and she has been dealing with many expectations for years. Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, she admitted that all the buzz around her played a role in her growth. "I was not really experienced for everything and when everything comes suddenly and they tell you are the next Maria Sharapova or any sentence like this one, you become humble and you listen less. I wanted to win and I became more nervous. Social media influenced me a lot, everything what people expected from me and said about me. I am a very ambitious person, sometimes too much because I do not know how to control the desire I have to do well."

"For me Carlos Alcaraz will not be the new Nadal, and I will not be the new Sharapova. Everyone needs to be the best possible and media make a lot of comparisons. If they compared me to someone now, I would have dealt with it in a different way. When you are younger, it's different."

Roger Federer said he likes to give younger player advices. Did Badosa get some of them from the Swiss? "I never met him. If I had to get closer to someone in order to learn, that's my idol Rafa Nadal. At the moment I am ashamed in doing it. He is a childhood idol, I would like to ask him so many things."

Badosa will open her run against Varvara Flink.
