Roger Federer speaks extremely high of Christian Garin and Nicolas Jarry
Roger Federer spoke highly of Christian Garin and Nicolas Jarry. The Basel native said: "With Nico and Christian the next generation is on the way. It's unlikely they will be at Marcelo Rios and Fernando Gonzalez's level, but I think they are good giys, good and talented people", said Federer who thinks the next five years will be great for the Chilean tennis.
Garin, speaking to ADN, shared his feelings prior to the Paris Masters: "I am coming from two weeks playing very well and I did not get good results, I lost in the first round without deserving it. The results of the last two weeks do not reflect the moment I am in. I played very well and I am very motivated to compete in the last tournament of the year. I am excited to do very well. One of my goals besides the points and the rankings, was to play well on all surfaces. I adapted very well and I am losing to players who I do not deserve to. I am happy of playing a Masters 1000 with the best guys and adapting to hard surfaces". Next match against John Isner? "They are players who you have to be more worried about yourself than the other. Anything can happen in those matches and I am happy to be here competing." On the Big Three, he concluded: "I saw the US Open final and I was impressed by how Rafa handled it. The dominance of the Big Three is something incredible, I do not know if we will see something like this again."
