'Crowd was disrespectful toward Novak Djokovic vs Roger Federer'

Former world No. 4 Greg Rusedski believes the ATP Finals' crowd was not fair toward Novak Djokovic during his ATP Finals match against Roger Federer. The British pundit, speaking on Amazon, said: "I think it’s disrespectful when you’re clapping double faults. That’s too much. I don’t mind fans supporting one guy over the other – that’s your choice – but there’s a certain etiquette you have to have out there. That really got into Djokovic’s head because he double faulted, some of the crowd applauded and he double faulted again. Then he got broken and from that point on he was always behind in the match. ‘He never recovered. He gets a too hard time sometimes."

Rusedski also spoke about potential Federer's semifinals opponent: "I think Stefanos Tsitsipas has been the man of the moment. I think he will have too much firepower for Rafael Nadal. It will be intriguing because Nadal – like all great champions – will lift his game for a must-win match. But I’m going for Tsitsipas in that one and Daniil Medvedev to beat Alexander Zverev tomorrow."

Through Twitter, the 1987 Wimbledon winner Pat Cash wrote: "#federer fired up for his last chance to win a BIG singles title in 2019 dispatches #Djokovic in style. Novak by his standards has been patchy since that Wimbledon final!"
