Dominic Thiem can compete against Roger Federer, Djokovic in London - Agent

In an interview Dominic Thiem's agent Herwig Straka spoke about the Austrian player being drawn on the same group as Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Matteo Berrettini. Straka said: "All the eight players are strong, that's the first time in a long time that all of the three play, and there was a 50 percent of chances to have two of them on the group. But Dominic is in his best shape ever, the goal doesn't change and we want to do better than before, even if the match-ups are difficult."

The Russian coach Viktor Yanchuk spoke of Daniil Medvedev's chances at the ATP Finals: "He can very well reach semifinals. He can beat both Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Daniil has a bigger variety than the other two guys. Necessarily beating Nadal is not worth. Medvedev can also qualify as a second player. He may not perform as well as he did at the US Open, but we do not know how the other rivals are doing either."

Meanwhile the Australian legend Margaret Court asked for more respect. The 24-time Grand Slam singles winner said: “I think Tennis Australia should sit and talk with me. They have never phoned me. Nobody has spoken to me directly about it. I think they would rather not confront it. They brought Rod (Laver) in from America. If they think I’m just going to turn up, I don’t think that is right. I think I should be invited. I would hope they would pay my way to come like they paid for his, and honour me. If they are not going to do that, I don’t really want to come."
