Jannik Sinner: 'Roger Federer is a legend'

Jannik Sinner spoke about several players in an interview to Il Giornale. The 18-year-old Italian praised his compatriot Matteo Berrettini who will play the ATP Finals for the first time: "At the beginning of the season I did not even know him, then I started appreciating him. I like him a lot, and not just how he plays. I like him as a person: you can see his harmony working with the team, his passion for working. He is a reference point."

Sinner's main reference point is Roger Federer: "He is a legend. I hope to be competing at that age too. But so far I enjoy the present."

On his family, Sinner added: "We love working. My father serves as a chef and my mother as a worker in the same place. Still today. They follow me from there. As a kid I used to call them and my mother sometimes answered, Do not call me now, I am working! It teaches you to put the commitment ahead of everything. They are an example for me."

Alex De Minaur spoke about how it felt to use the Wearable Technology: "I have been using it. I actually don't feel it. I like it. I don't know why don't the others wear it. We haven't talked about it now because we are in the tournament. You know, even if we pick something up, we can't do anything about it now. So I think they are writing it down, and we are going to use it for the off-season."
