Miomir Kecmanovic on Next Gen ATP Finals, his consistency
Rising Serbian star Miomir Kecmanovic has nothing but good to say of the Next Gen ATP Finals, which are taking place at the Allianz Cloud in Milan.
The 20-year-old Serb failed to beat Australian Alex de Minaur but wins over Norwegia's Casper Ruud and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina of Spain were enough for him to make it past the Round Robin stage and seal a semifinal spot.
"It's definitely nice to have that [crowd support],” Kecmanovic said, per the ATP website. “I'm happy that they enjoy what we are doing on the court. It's definitely given me a lot of more energy and motivation to push through. "
Kecmanovic, ranked at No. 60 in the world, has enjoyed a breakthrough season on the Tour this year as on multiple occasions he has shown the ability to perform well at the highest level.
Kecmanovic, who achieved a career-high ranking of No. 47 this year, earlier this season made the Indian Wells Masters quarterfinal as a qualifier, before he ended runner-up at the Antalya Open.
"My consistency has helped,” Kecmanovic said. “[I’ve been] consistent at a certain level, tough in the pressure moments and I think that's what got me here."
