Nick Kyrgios signs up to play New York Open
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios, 24, has been confirmed for the 2020 edition of New York Open, the tournament announced via its Twitter account.
Kyrgios, a six-time ATP champion, is set to make his debut on the indoor-hard courts of New York as he has no previous appearances at the tournament.
The flashy Australian will certainly be among the most entertaining players and at the same a top favorite to win it all at the upcoming tournament edition.
The New York Open, which held its inaugural edition two years ago, is set for its third tournament edition as they hope to have another positive edition and further establish themselves on the Tour.
Kevin Anderson, the 2018 US Open runner-up, won the inaugural New York edition, before home favorite Reilly Opelka made it all the way at the tournament this year.
It remains to be seen can former world No. 13 Kyrgios have a dream debut in New York and make a splash at the tournament in February.
