Roger Federer: It was crazy, fun and I couldn't be happier

Swiss Roger Federer underlined that the inches determine the outcomes of tie breaks as he was happy to survive a final set tie-break at the Australian Open.

Federer, seeded at No. 3, edged out John Millman of Australia 4-6 7-6 (2) 6-4 4-6 7-6 (8) to reach the round-of-16 at Melbourne Park.

The Australian was two points away from shocking Federer in front of his home fans but the Swiss won six points in a row in the final set tie-break to recover from an 8-4 deficit and seal a round-of-16 ticket.

If the score reaches 6-6 in the final set at Melbourne Park, the match will be decided by first-to-ten-points tie-break.

"This one was definitely unique in many ways. You know, that I was able to turn a super break around like this, in an atmosphere (like this). It was crazy, it was fun and I couldn't be more happy of course, big relief," Federer said after beating Millman.

Federer, a record 20-time Grand Slam champion, plays next against Marton Fucsovics of Hungary.
