Marin Cilic backs Novak Djokovic to win more Majord than Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal

Since 2004, only six players have managed to take a Major title away from Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, the most magnificent trio that tennis has ever seen. Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka stole six titles overall from them but it was all about the mentioned legends at the most significant tennis events for more than 15 years, resisting both the age and rivals to write history books time and time again and claim 56 Major trophies combined! Stan Wawrinka won the US Open in 2016 and it was the last Major title for the players outside the 'big 3,' with Djokovic, Nadal and Federer winning the last 13, including the most recent Australian Open where Novak Djokovic went all the way to reduce the deficit behind the greatest rivals, with three titles separating them all ahead of Roland Garros and another thrilling clash between him and Rafael Nadal.

Marin Cilic is also on the list of players who have tested a Major glory beside the leading figures of our sport, conquering the US Open in 2014 with mind-blowing tennis that he never repeated again. The Croat is leading his country against India in this weekend's Davis Cup tie, finding time to answer questions about the greatest rivals and their GOAT race that has been closer than ever. Marin believes that Novak Djokovic has the best shot of finishing a career with most Majors, praising his game and calling his peak tennis as the greatest one in the history of our sport.

"Novak Djokovic hasn't lost a match this season; he is the favorite in Indian Wells as well. For me, Novak at his peak is the greatest player ever, the one with incredible tennis and barely any holes in his game. He will be motivated to maintain this level and beat Nadal in the world no. 1 battle. I believe that Djokovic has the best chances to finish a career with most Majors, he is not that far behind Federer, he is also healthy and there's a great team around him. He could play on a high level for four, five or six years and he is in the best position to win most Major titles."
