Osaka, Gauff, Andreescu Honour Healthcare Workers as part of Real Heroes Project
Tennis stars Ashleigh Barty, Bianca Andreescu, Naomi Osaka, Coco Gauff, Victoria Azarenka and the Bryan Brothers have taken part in ‘The Real Heroes Project’, dedicating their uniforms to healthcare professionals who are on the frontlines helping save lives during the current pandemic.
The joint initiative took place between 13 professional sports leagues. Besides the tennis stars, athletes from MLB, MLS, NASCAR, NBA, NFL, NHL, NWSL, USGA, WNBA, and WWE took part in the project.
On Wednesday May 6, each athlete dedicated their jersey and posted a special message of thanks to their own healthcare hero.
Below are the posts from the tennis stars who were part of the project.
