Toni Nadal, the former coach and uncle of Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal, says his nephew could easily play 3 to 4 more years of tennis if he managed to remain healthy and motivated, during an interview on the Super Deportivo Radio show.

The 59 year old Toni Nadal says, "Rafael can have 3 or 4 more years of tennis easy, as long as the injuries respect him, he feels motivated and with the conviction of continuing to win. I would not imagine Rafael being on the circuit and playing to play, and that it doesn't matter if he loses or if he wins. Why does Federer keep playing? Because he knows he can still win important titles. "

Toni Nadal, who coached Nadal throughout his career till early 2017, says he has always told his nephew not to look for excuses and justifications. "In life I have never liked to listen when someone complains, because I found that the people who complain are the people who are least willing to do something and change their situation. People who are willing to move forward do not usually complain much. I do not accept much the excuse and the complaint. I always said to Rafael: do not look for justifications because you are going to find them, but they are not going to help you . An excuse will never make you win a match."

While working with Toni Nadal, Rafael won 16 Grand Slam titles. Toni currently spends most of this time at the Rafa Nadal Academy in his native Mallorca.
